What is Quranic Arabic?
Quranic Arabic (classical Arabic) is the language of the Quran. It differs from everyday spoken dialects and is built on a precise system: three letter roots that generate families of words, grammar (nahw) that governs sentence structure and case endings (i'rab), and morphology (sarf) that shapes verbs and nouns.
Because the Quran uses a focused vocabulary, learning the most frequent words and the core grammar unlocks a large part of the text quickly. Our teachers build this systematically, always anchored in real verses so you are learning the Quran's own language, not abstract grammar.

What the Quranic Arabic course covers

Grammar (nahw)

Morphology (sarf)

Quran vocabulary
The most frequently used words of the Quran, learned in context, so you recognise a large share of the text as you read.

Quranic Arabic: frequently asked questions
Do I need any Arabic before starting?
No. The course is designed for complete beginners and starts from the very basics, building up to reading Quranic sentences with understanding.
Is Quranic Arabic the same as spoken Arabic?
Not quite. Quranic (classical) Arabic is the language of the Quran and classical texts. It differs from modern spoken dialects, though learning it makes other forms of Arabic easier too.
How is this different from a tafseer course?
Tafseer explains the meaning of the Quran, usually in Urdu or English. Quranic Arabic teaches you the language itself, so you can understand the Quran directly. The two complement each other.
How long before I can understand Quranic verses?
Because the Quran uses a focused vocabulary, many students begin recognising and understanding common verses within a few months of steady study.
Can women take this course with a female teacher?
Yes. Qualified female teachers are available on request for sisters and ladies.
Will this help my recitation too?
Understanding grammar and word endings often improves how carefully you read, and pairs well with tajweed and tafseer studies.
